We live in a fluid world, where things are constantly changing in front of us and it’s hard to keep up. Yet in the midst of it all, some things don’t change, things like faith formation among young people matters, participation in a community of faith matters, and serving our neighbors matter. The landscape of youth ministry has changed and we want to help you understand what happening with youth with regard to their life of faith. Please join us for this wonderful (and FREE) opportunity to equip your staff, volunteers, and congregation with tools to walk alongside young people on their journey of faith.
There will be 3 leaders training opportunities throughout the next 18 months. This Spring we will be offering our first session, “Landscape of Youth Ministry and Youth Ministry Events as Faith Formation.” We will be sharing research that has been done on youth and religion as well as provide you with ideas on how to plan events for your youth groups, create a timeline, recruit volunteers, and get your congregation invested in the lives of young people.
These free trainings are open to all Youth ministry leaders, Staff, Lay volunteers, and Pastors who work with young people in congregations around the Metro New York Synod. This is an equipping opportunity for your congregation from the ELCA! There are 3 locations available for our first training but you only need to attend one training. Please RSVP to Julie Hagen (firstname.lastname@example.org or 212-665-2504).
