What Have You Learned?

I always love working with kids. I was reminded of this on Sunday. There is something about their way of digesting information; how they ask questions adults don’t think of or how they hold on to information.

So as we gathered for our weekly Sunday School, almost 30 kids and volunteers sat on carpets while one volunteer began the lesson. We were talking about the sacraments. We started by talking about what sacraments are and then what we do during them.

By the end of the lesson and the teacher asked, “Can you tell me something you learned about the sacraments?”

Perhaps the smallest boy in both stature and age raises his hand from the back of the group.

“Yes, What have you learned?” asked the teacher.

“God loves us.”

Amen.
