Summer Camps

There are many summer camps and retreat experiences for children and youth. You can count on them being unique and life-changing experiences for all involved.

Here’s a list of the some of the Summer Camps in this synod:

Pinecrest Lutheran Leadership School

Pinecrest Lutheran Leadership SchoolPinecrest is one of the oldest camping programs in the Lutheran Church. It holds it’s annual session in the third week in August.  The camp is located in Sussex, New Jersey with ample indoor/outdoor meeting and recreation areas, a swimming pool, lake and athletic fields. Their program includes morning classes, afternoon activities, free time to enjoy the facilities, evening programs and a variety of worship experiences. Check out their website for more information.

Koinonia

KoinoniaKoinonia has been serving campers since 1962 in Highland Lake, NY. The camp’s 1200 acres and pristine lake provide a backdrop for year round indoor and outdoor activities. Koinonia looks to provide you with a positive learning environment, a memorable spiritual experience and a great time in the woods for you or your family or group. Camp Ma-He-Tu

This is a camp for girls ages 7 to 15 years old. It is in Harriman State Park. Campers safely enjoy exciting adventures, learn new skills, and make life-long friends in a supportive and caring environment. Click here to see more on their website

Camp Herrlich

In 1971 Mount Tremper Outdoor Ministries, Camp Herrlich’s Corporation was founded with one goal in mind – helping children and adults experience enjoyable, safe, educational, high quality, camping, retreat and environmental education programs.
