TEY Crossroads Event
The Crossroads Event is sponsored by Theological Education with Youth from Philadelphia and Gettysburg Seminaries from June 25th to July 2nd. This is an outstanding program for young people who have just completed the 9th or 10th grade, and it’s held at Wagner College on Staten Island. TEY Summer Theological Academy
A two week worshiping and learning community gathers for theological exploration and discovery from July 23rd to August 6th, 2011. For youthful disciples (in the summer following their 10th or 11th grade year) the Summer Theological Academy offers an formative experience whether you are starting to feel the call to ministry, or you just want to ask some big questions. With courses taught by seminary faculty, staff, & theologians, small groups led by seminarians, and worship that mines the depths of Christian tradition, the Summer Theological Academy is an experience that aims to strengthen and inspire your journey of discipleship. ELCA Youth Ministry Network Extravaganza
An annual 4 day conference for adults working with youth in the ELCA. This year’s event will be held February 8-12, 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. For more information about Extravaganza, visit their website.
ELCA National Youth Gathering
National Youth Gatherings are held every 3 years. The next gathering will be July 18-22, 2012 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The days leading up to the event also include the Multicultural Youth Leadership Event (MYLE) and the Definitely-Abled Youth Leadership Event (DAYLE) on July 15-18th, 2012.
